Description
Bone toggles are known from Upper Paleolithic sites in Europe dating to at least 25,000 years ago, and also from Late Prehistoric contexts in the Americas and Europe. In the Late Prehistoric Tradition (c. 3,000–300 years ago), such toggles were part of a sophisticated toolkit used for clothing, pouches, and other wrapped goods.
