Description
This Authentic artifact of the Late Prehistoric to Early Historic Period, a type associated with the Umatilla Tribe and related groups located in the Columbia River Plateau region of Washington and Oregon. Depending on how they were hafted and resharpened, these knives can acquire a variety of shapes, most commonly the classic triangular, concave-based form. This form is related to the “Columbia Mule Ear Knife” and similar “Plateau Triangular” knives, and appear to date within the same general time-frame.
