Description
The Adena point is named after the Adena Estate Mound in Ross County, Ohio, where anthropologist William C. Mills identified it in 1902. It is linked to the Adena culture, considered the first of the “Mound Builder” cultures, along with the Hopewell and Mississippian traditions. These cultures were centered in the Ohio River Valley but had influence extending into parts of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and beyond.
