Complete, 9 ” long, lower molar tooth of the great Woolly mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius, of the last European Ice Age. Exceptionally well-preserved and fine grade example from the North Sea. This woolly mammoth tooth is complete with no repair and no restoration. This Mammoth tooth is 100% genuine. Chewing surface is fully present, complete, and intact. Even the gumline is present. Color from this North Sea specimen is like a land find. The cracked surface is old and stable. The Woolly mammoth this tooth came from probably died with this tooth in its jaw. Root growth lines and detail is present. Tooth has been stabilized to preserve its condition. Ultra rare condition for an underwater find. Exhibits an intact root with growth lines visible and the gumline on the side is perfectly preserved just below chewing surface.
