Description
This is a thin medium (1.5 to 2.25 inches) triangular point with an elliptical to flattened cross section. The blade varies from slightly excurvate to straight. The blade is commonly serrated just above the hafting region. Some examples flare back out towards the base giving the point an articulated appearance. The basal corners are square. The base is concave. This point lacks any basal grinding and has a random flaking pattern.
This point is primarily found from the Tampa Bay region of Florida. This point may be found into southern Georgia, southern Alabama, and southwestern South Carolina.
