SUNSHINE STATE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF FLORIDA
Official Affiliate of Central States Archaeological Society
Sunshine State is the Florida Branch of Central States Archaeological Society, the largest amateur archaeology group in the country. Other state affiliates are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Texas.
SOCIETY GOALS
"The Central States Archaeological Societies, Inc., is a non-profit organization and has no paid officers or employees. We endeavor to develop a better understanding among students and collectors of archaeological materials, professional and non-professional, as well as museums and institutions of high learning, and to further understanding by providing a means to publish articles of interest to both professional and amateur archaeologists."

quarterly, this journal is the best amateur publication and is of a very high
quality. For example the Jan. 02 issue has 52 pages, 23 articles and

SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP
| Regular members receive all newsletters and 4 issues of
the Central States Archaeological Journal
per year with voting rights at business meetings. Dues are
$21.
Contributing members receive all the benefits of regular members and are listed in the newsletter with special thanks unless they request to remain anonymous. Contributing memberships start at $25 and can of course be larger. Please make check or money order payable to Sunshine State
