Modern coyote jaw (several available, right and left)
about 6" in length $10 each order w251
COMMENTS: these are very useful for identification purposes regarding just
about every kind of fossil canid, from small dogs to giant bears and beardogs.
All the teeth are about identical, just a size difference. You can tell
immediately if the fossil is a canid or a cat by comparing the teeth. It is also
helpful to know that an adult dire wolf mandible is a minimum of about two
inches longer than this jaw.

Muskrat mandible Ondatra zibethicus Pleistocene Taylor Co. FL.
1 1/2" $10 order f583
COMMENTS: no incisor, but super nice molars, bone solid and well
mineralized.
